It's a type of monster called a griffin. They're usually hostile but this one... seems to be passive.

That's what I'd like to know as well! It's larger than the door frame, there's no way it could've just walked in!

It's a monster known most commonly as a griffin. It doesn't seem dangerous, but I'm still being cautious.

Monsters aren't like conventional animals, they often have abilities and are generally hostile and much more dangerous.
