How nice that your vet will bring the meds to the parking lot.
We tried out online grocery shopping for the first time today. I feel really guilty for letting someone else take the risk, but then I figured it would be better all around for fewer people to be going to the store in general. At least, that's how I rationalized it to myself. Our local store is nuts--no one does what they're supposed to.
My oldest friend has been doing online shopping for quite some time. In his defense, he keeps a grocery store profitable all by himself, and only has about one half of a foot left to walk on.
I just can't figure out how to tell somebody how to pick out meat or vegetables. I need to see it.
I went to the supermarket today, too, and while most people were reasonable, SOME OF THEM WOULD NOT STAND THE FUCK AWAY FROM YOU IN THE AISLES. They' just come up and stand right next you, barely missing brushing your hand as they had to take that box RIGHT NEXT TO the one you were reaching for.
In the meantime, wear gloves and strike with the heel of your palm. Don't use a fist, that hurts you about as much. Ideally, roll up the flyer tightly and jab with that.
Or call me. Apart from cat wrangling, I'm kind of bored.
Over here, people mostly behave. I take great care to stay a proper distance from the supermarket staff. And I try to obey the 6ft rule. If others don't I'm not that upset. Covid fear is among the long list of things I've lost these past months. I just get through each day as well as I can.
Yesterday I bought a fun little statuette from a junk shop and spent a jolly afternoon making a little arrangement with it. Took me several days to figure out where she should go, during which I didn't buy the statuette, but walked past it a few times. I'm now writing Sophy's Adventures, a WhatsApp published story for my friends. In a life where nothing much happens, acquiring a statuette must be spread over several days and milked for far more than it's worth.
