I hope Echo will return to her earlier appreciation of the pet food.
And I know there's this whole idea about spending lots of time disinfecting things, which I must say I mostly see on the journals of my US friends, but don't get too worried about it. Over here people just go to the shop, buy their things, and use them. We only do what one always did, i.e. wash fruit and vegetables before use. I think to keep calm and carry on is, in fact the best approach, even though lots of people seem to advocate 'freak out and turn every action and every encounter into an anxiety-fraught thing'. Don't fall for it. Just keep calm and carry on.
It's not so much worry as wanting to do something. And we have people around here that go about coughing on things. I am not allowed to shoot them, but they do get arrested on occasion.
But I am calm, and I thank you for your concern and advice. Freaking out never helped anything. And carrying on is about all we can do, I guess.
LOL! I swear cats are the most fickle creatures in existence. "Sure I liked the food before, but now I don't. What else you got?" So typical... I'm glad that Echo is doing better, though, and that you and P are still healthy and doing okay. Living this way is so emotionally exhausting, though, isn't it?
I was accustomed to going grocery shopping at whim, several times a week. Shopping for a week's worth at the time involved a bit of sticker shock. I may keep to this routine, though. Uses a lot less gas.

None of it will go to waste, there's always a hungry cat somewhere around here.

I do hope you get more rain out there, another huge fire season is not what you need at all.
Getting old is rather less fun than I had expected, yes.

Grocery day leaves me in a panting heap on the floor.
Your kitty sounds a lot like my squiblets, food-wise. Hope she continues to thrive on the regular food.
