There is a fairly large lake adjacent to P's office complex that has a resident population of Canada geese. One of them has a fishing line wrapped around its leg, and it is swelling.

I probably shouldn't mention how Metherion's previous employer dealt with an overabundance of geese on the lake by the factory. Suffice it to say, Metherion & Daughter had a feast shortly thereafter.

More seriously, I'm glad you're taking steps to help the critter out. ♥ ♥ ♥ Seeing animals suffer because of human carelessness is heartbreaking. What you're doing redeems my faith in human nature.

Also, the mental image of you limping after the goose while it hops along trying to get airborne is actually pretty funny. For certain values of fun.

I blanked on my rescue attempt. No sign of the bird, but I did mess up my knee a bit!

We'll keep watch and call a pro if we see the goose.

No sign of the goose, but my knee is calling me unkind names after the hike around the lake. We'll pay an expert if we can find the poor bird.
