Why body modifications?

Someone recently asked me why I am into the whole idea of body modifications. Although I had a general idea about what I wanted to say, I did have to think a while about my answer. I wish it was a simple answer, but its quite a bit deeper then I thought it was going to be ( Read more... )

I should get an industrial in a few months. Wonder how my parents would take that. LOL.

An industrial is a bit hard core for a first piercing. I would maybe get a helix piercing in the ear opposite of the one you want an industrial in first... and use that to learn to deal with piercings.

I say this for a few reasons... One mainly being that industrials are generally 12 or 14 gauge... which does hurt quite a bit more. Never mind the fact they are a bit more complex.

I would do maybe a 16 gauge helix piercing for a first. Then a couple months after its had a chance to heal, if you still want the industrial go for it.

If you do get a piercing done though, let me know and I will come with. I am thinking of getting an anti-helix myself.
