I've lived up to my livejournal name!
Until last week, I don't think I had been to Lassen Volcanic National Park since I signed up for LiveJournal, thus my name was more wishful thinking. Just yesterday, we were hiking the King's Creek trail to a waterfall. It was a beautiful hike. I don't know why we had never done this hike in all the years we've gone to Lassen

One of my favorite things, besides just being there, was that I went for a swim across the short direction of Manzanita Lake, with goggles. It was somewhat like snorkeling in the Pacific kelp beds. Long colorful plants coming up to ~3 feet of the surface and an occasional trout darting to safety. Really cool! (and almost but not quite really cold)
