Paid accounts issue

Apparently, due to silliness regarding payments to Russian banks, it is no longer possible to just renew an expired paid account with a credit card (the pages that would allow one to do that are either 404 or return an error when one tries to put a paid account into the cart). It seems it is now only possible to do this with "LJ tokens." But I

I suppose so? I bought something on lj a while back and I recall paying with LJ tokens. Probably to ensure we're not all somehow using LJ as a terrorist activity.

Well, according to this (http://www.livejournal.com/shop/paidaccount.bml?form=2), you should still be able to pay by credit card... I dunno; I won't have to deal with this until the end of March, lol.
But yes, tokens are dollar for dollar.

It seems a little silly to allow us to buy tokens with our credit cards, with which to renew our accounts, but not to just renew our accounts with our cards. This is going to bug me for days. ;P

Meanwhile, those of us on automatic renewal continue to have their credit/debit cards charged as normal whenever it's time. Weird.
