Since it's the middle of the year (approximately :P), and I've been promising photos of the things I've worked on this year, I though I might do a little photo post! I'll do a couple separate posts to go into the details with more photos, but to spare you my ramblings, this post is just about photos!
First a couple of teasers:
2009: The First Half
And there you have it, in approximate order, what I've done this year:
Strawberry lolita, consisting of skirt and bustle petti; Aurora plasticine bust; Silk Spectre, consisting of corset, yellow dress and cincher, modified glove; Aged Jeans (left is original, right is my work!); Cupcake lolita, consisting of skirt and net petti (with bustle petti from previously); White tutu with lace overlay (bodice is coming); Purple vintage dress for Helpmann (worn by me); Candy girls for Helpmann (Mine is on the right, and unfortunately the girls swapped dresses so they didn't fit! *headdesk*); Victorian Bustle and black linen bustle skirt; Wonder Woman sculpture (started with clay, cast with plaster and painted); Rita Skeeter (dress, cloak was made last year but needs fixing). NOT PICTURED: 2 vintage 50's skirts, boxer shorts, pyjama shirt, 3 folders full of drafting practice (Seriously, it's a lot, and must be counted!) *phew* It's actually quite a lot! Certainly helps me feel productive!
2009: The Second half (pictographically seems to be the trend of this post!)
For AVCon:
Cupcake lolita with alterations (bustling at back, fix up net petti, underbust corset), Steampunk/lolita Alice
For the ACG Ball:
Princess Aurora/Sleeping Beauty
For Melbgeddon:
Silk Spectre (hopefully with upgraded boots), and two surprise costumes ;) (so surprising, even I don't know :P)
For Whenever:
Rose Tyler as I recently bought the jacket and have the fabric for the dress; Classic Leia V4 is cut out and partially sewn together; Zatanna just needs a shirt, vest and bowtie; Custom Jedi I have all the fabric for.
I'm trying to be realistic with what I can get finished amongst my Tafe work, and using what I have in my stash! We'll see once January 2010 rolls around, exactly what I did get done :P
