congrats on the 8 months. and i'm sorry about the music disappearing on the network drive, but i'm fairly certain that it shouldn't have done anything to your hard drive. i thought it checked it when i got home the other night from niberts (where we did the actual formatting) to see if i could find a Malice Mizer song on there that i don't have anymore and i thought everyone appeared to still be there. *shrugs* i'm sorry. i checked after you told me, theres only like 102 songs now. =\ if they keep disappearing, we'll know there is something else wrong and we can try to figure out what it is and fix it.

oh, plus, my network cable was unplugged while we were working on it over here and i didn't bother plugging it in. so there aren't any information that could have been traded over a network because i wasn't connected to it. =\ so i don't think my dying hard drive actually did any harm. =\ sorry nich.
