Corset is done!

I hammered in the grommets today. Hoorah. It looks pretty good on, except for the fact that I don't fill it out in the bust area... *sigh* I'll definitely have to add some padding in that area to get the right look. Thankfully no-one will really see it anyway! I swear I'm the only person I know who doesn't get any cleavage from her corset. Yes I am ( Read more... )

That's beautiful! I know what you mean about the bust area ;-) I actually cheat and 'pre-boost' my girls with Nu Bra stick on inserts and then wear my corset. It gives the illusion of nice curves on top. I also wear them under my Snow Bunny leotard and with regular clothes too where a showing bra strap just won't do.

Here are some Aussie sites where you can buy one :-)

Thank you! :D

I've bought stick on bras before, and have major issues with them, unfortunately. I have a slight problem that as well as being small, my breasts are also massively different sizes. Yes, yes I know it's normal for there to be a slight difference. Mine is NOT slight! There's more than a cup size of difference between mine. I bought a c cup sticky and found that my right breast was too BIG for it to hold, and the left one was so very small that the sticky had nothing to stick onto. Yes, that is how much difference there is!

As I lose weight the difference becomes less noticeable, but it still makes it a pain to buy bras for! Matt always says that I'm like that girl on American Beauty, except smaller :P

So really my only option would be to buy an a size and a c or d, but then that kinda defeats the purpose of padding :P I think I might just have to buy two different sizes of sew in inserts, and see how that goes. *sigh* Sometimes I hate how not in proportion my body is!

I use the A size because it's what size I am. The girl at Victoria's Secrets advised against getting bigger because they may fit funny. Mine are actually 3 years old now and not so sticky anymore... time for new ones I guess.

For my corset I place them low and far apart, then I connect in the middle. This way I get the cleavage, and then the corset will give the 'lady lumps'. I have to be careful with how much I 'fluff' after fitting the corset or I will end up flashing the world *eep* lol.

Have you tried contacting NuBra CS and seeing if they can sell one in one size and one in another (mix and match)? I don't know that they would, but it can't hurt to ask :-)

I feel your pain, and second the reccomendation of the above commenter to use a stick-on bra. You could also try a well-cut strappless black bra, if you have one, but it might show a little.

It looks really nice :)

Thanks :D

As I said to Benae, I find stick on bras don't work for me because of the massive difference in sizes between my breasts. I bought a pair of c cup stickies and I think I ended up throwing them out because they didn't do anything for me. The right side was too big for them, and so they wouldn't stay on. The left side was way too small, so there was nothing for it to stick to. I kid you not!

I think I'll probably have more luck with padding.

Awww you're too kind my dear! Seriously, corsets aren't that difficult! The sewing is pretty striaghtforward. It's the fitting that takes ages (which I didn't really have for this one!).

Hehehe love your icon :P

Oh yeah, sticky chicken fillets is where it is at ;) I always use mine :) Mine are size C but because I'm so small they wind up just perfect.

So test padding it out with some socks first ;)

Hmmm maybe I'm just doing it wrong. Or maybe I have the wrong ones. But My other problem is that apart from being small, I also have two completely different sized breasts. One is larger than a c, and the other is barely an a. No joke, I am not exaggerating. It's frustrating as hell when it comes to buying a bra!

Anywho, I did buy a sticky last year to wear with my WW. I bought a c, and it just didn't fit. The right side was way too big, so it wouldn't stick and gave no support. The left one was so small there was nothing for it to stick to. I have also tried a B, and had a similar issue. Because they're different sizes, the right one also pulls the entire thing to the right.

I think I might have better luck with sewing in some padding. But I don't know if sew in padding comes in different sizes. I shall have to check tomorrow when I go shopping.
