Since it's the middle of the year (approximately :P), and I've been promising photos of the things I've worked on this year, I though I might do a little photo post! I'll do a couple separate posts to go into the details with more photos, but to spare you my ramblings, this post is just about photos!

I thought you'd love the dress! I was annoyed at first because the bodice was about 5cm too low for my liking, and without the petticoat the dress looks WAY too 20's. But once I added the petticoat, it suddenly looked amazing! :D

Such a neat way to show what you've made, and looking forward to seeing the pics at the end being replaced with photos :)

Aww thank you! :D I think it helps that about... half? of what I've done has been for Tafe. And you shouldn't be jealous! I've seen your work and you're just as talented!

I'm definitely looking forward to the end of year post :D Of course I'll have to post all of this again ;) For posterity!

Oh, man, I'm going to have to sew so much this year to even get /close/ to what you've done in 6 months! And I thought /I/ spent a lot of time at the sewing machine... xD

Nice to find you here! I promise to email you later... ^_^; I'm still exhausted, dealing with people + my mum being here was tiring.

Hahaha well you do have a little one to look after too! Most of my machine time is spent at Tafe though. I haven't done THAT much at home :P Probably also because I leave everything to the last minute! I think it definitely helps that about half of this was done for tafe anyway :P

No worries! I'm still trying to catch up with everything, 2 weeks later!

Yup, I made it. I made the Corset, yellow overlayer/dress thing, and the cincher. Bought the briefs, stockings and glove (which I modified).

The corset was made using my favourite corset pattern, Simplicity 5006, since I know it fits and it has the sweetheart neckline. I did some fancy piecing on the sides to give the impression of a bust cup (took me a while to get it to all line up properly!). Though it's not accurate, no one can really tell since it's underneath!
