Tomorrow would be my grandmother's 69th birthday, but she died seven years ago next week. I remember that night, sleeping on my grandparents' family room floor after coming home from the hospital. It is something that is often not remembered at bad times, but what you described is the true meaning of family.

Sometimes what we feel is "vicarious", but that's just as real. Its hard for the young and immortal (you're probably still immortal) to understand the concept of "gone forever". It will take each of us all our lives to really understand that.

I envy you and your brothers each other. Not having any and being too much older than my sister to ever be REALLY close it's easy to feel alone in the world. You will "always" have your brothers. Of course I have you all too, and you all mean so much to me.
