a. congratulations on the new job, an awesome job might I add.
b. I know the missing feeling, and I feel terrible that you have to go through that, I'm always around to talk, and I CAN TRAVEL TO COURTICE anytime you want, or you can come here, or anything anytime!
I know I'm not a substitute for Tess, maybe I can be temporary Tess? like a fill in... who knows. I hope you see her soon, somehow.

...you can't try to be a temporary Tess. That would defeat the point of even having a Tess around.

You can't substitute people. You can't substitute feelings.

Luckily replacement is not needed. On the other hand... becoming a NEW friend would be just fine. Everybody needs another friend.
