Dream of Californication

Jun 15, 2007 18:15

Kacie had left at like 2 that afternoon with her doctor-boyfriend who was takin' her to Las Vegas for the weekend, leavin' her Santa Monica beach house all to me. She tried real heard to pretend like she was givin' me the speech, the one about not having any parties while she was gone, no drinking, and definitely no boys. But I could tell, Kacie ( Read more... )

"Are you kidding me?" I asked, as I rolled over on the bed onto my stomach and looked up from the latest issue of Cosmo that I'd been reading. "You couldn't look fat if like, you ate ten gallons of ice cream and then didn't hit the gym for a month." I shook my head at her. Was she crazy? "You look great, now can we just get dressed and get downstairs? People are gonna be here soon and that booze isn't gonna drink itself ( ... )

"Thanks, darlin'." I said, smiling as if it were for the cameras Kacie was always practicin' for, all wide and genuine. Except hers was less genuine and more, 'I'll fuck you for the right part' Everyone knew it but her mama. "You look pretty hot yourself." I said, admiring her reflection in the mirror for a minute.

I pulled the hand beaded, sequined bebe strapless top from the hanger, slipping it over my head and wrangling it down over my shoulders where it settled just nicely at the top of my bra. A sparkly belt, and some spiked Louboutins and I was totally ready to "pre-game it" as Lexi said.

"What should we kick it off with?" I asked, having taken the spiral staircase steps two at a time. "Mama's a total lush, so I know how to make one Hell of a Cosmopolitan." I said, whippin' out a couple of martini glasses and the necessaries.

I followed after her as we made our way down the staircase. Lacey was in front of me and I stopped to admire her for a second. It wasn't like she did a lot for me personally, I mean she was hot but totally not my type. I'd already proven what my type was and it just happened to be the vampire type who liked to beat up my Dad. It was hard not to think about Sophia sometimes. But anyways, I wasn't looking at Lacey the way I looked at Sophia, I was watching the way she moved. Something about it just seemed familiar to me ( ... )

Since when was a Cosmo not a real drink? Mama and all her starter wife/first wive's club friends drank them all the time. Them and big buckets full of icy margaritas ( ... )

First, I heard about the party through my sister. I told Jude and a couple other friends from school and I knew some of the girls from Mom's school were being invited. Then I heard about the party from a whole group of people who I had no clue even knew about the party in the first place. What started as a semi-small type of thing sure grew fast as hell.

Jude and I were meeting up before heading over to the house where the party was supposed to take place and I was taking Lily with me. It had been a while since we really went to any kind of party and probably the last time we really did anything like this was while we were in Spain.

Getting out of my car, I raised a brow when I already realized that this was even bigger than what I thought it would be and that had Lexi written all over it. Hopefully I wouldn't be having to babysit my sister all night long. I was hoping for a longer break than this. Though, hey. At least the evil vampire who fucked up my family and seduced my sister wouldn't be here. This night was looking ( ... )

Tyler invited me to this party, said it was a friend of his sisters. Supposed to be some quiet event. Then as the week went on, I started hearing about it everywhere I turned. So much for quiet. But, it really did come at a pretty good time. Parents out of the country, birthday was a few days ago. Nothing like a huge party to ring in turning 17 right? Have a little fun, get totally smashed, check out some girls.

The plan was to meet up with Tyler and his girlfriend and head over to this girl's house, Lacey I think it was. The one who told me she was gonna get me cupcakes for my birthday. Lexi's friend. We headed on over and when we pulled in, I looked over at Tyler wtih a grin, shaking my head before we headed towards the door. Stopping, I looked back. I couldn't shake this weird feeling I'd had the last few days that someone was following me. Talk about being paranoid.

Tyler teased Lexi and I laughed. "I didn't see any flyers, so that has to be a plus right?" I smiled over at the blonde beside Lexi.

"Uh!" I exclaimed, giving Tyler my most innocent look. "I don't know what you're talking about, I just invited...a few close friends." I could feel Lacey glaring at me so I just turned and gave her a look. "What? I can't help it that I'm popular." I shook my head and turned my grin back to my brother and his friend Jude along with Lily. Jude was okay I guess, it was good for Tyler to have a guy friend. I think.

"Don't be a buzzkill tonight, Brother. We're gonna have a blast." I grinned at him as the four of us walked back towards the kitchen. Opening the fridge I gave Tyler a look and tossed him, Lily and his friend Jude a beer each. "It's time to loosen up, and have a good time."

Still giving the four of them an innocent look I leaned up against the wall as someone yelled hi to me. A smile lit up my face as I waved at them before turning back to Lacey, Jude, Lily and Tyler.

"We can go out to the beach later if we want." I said giving Tyler a devilish look. I knew that he loved the beach just as much as I did.

I smiled brightly at Jude, blushing just a little. "I'm sure if there had been, you'd 've taken them down." I said, giving him a small wink. I'm sure there probably were flyers somewhere, knowing Lexi. Just none where he could find them.

Following Lexi and the other three into the kitchen where she started handing out beers. Personally, I thought better of the whole thing since beer was so gross and let them have 'em while I whipped out the blender and started tossin' in some ice and other ingredients for some watermelon margaritas.

Secretly, I checked out the hottie Tyler brought with him. The one the cupcakes were for. Money well spent, that was for sure.

"So," I said, pressing the 'stop' button and shakin' the pitcher to swirl what was on the sides as I licked a little that got caught on my thumb.

"Who wants somethin' a little sweeter?"

That question was mostly in Jude's direction. But open to all, nonetheless.

I didn't know why I was going to some party. Actually, the last thing that I wanted to do was party. I was much more content in being alone in the small room that I was renting in the bar, but yeah, no, I guess it was time that I just ... went somewhere. Somewhere that didn't involve me searching for Volchok. I had my reasons for staying where I was, for not going home, wherever that was. I didn't even know. It wasn't the cozy Newport house that I had been living in for the last three years. It was much darker than that and ... yeah, I wasn't going back anytime soon, no matter how much Seth begged me ( ... )

I wasn't really sure what I was getting myself into when Lexi invited Molly and I to some party that her friend was having. Lily and Tyler were going too, and I guess that meant it would be okay. It had been a really really long time since I'd been to a party, and I figured trying to have some actual fun might be a nice change of pace. Besides, Molly was going and she was cool- so even if it sucked we'd still have a good time ( ... )

I sipped at my beer for a while but was ready for something a little more fruity after about half the bottle since beer wasn't really my thing. Might as well finish this anyway.

Lexi invited both Lucy and me to the party so it couldn't be that bad. I hadn't really been to any since coming to LA so this was a good way to get out of the school and have some real fun. Once we were outside, I glanced around and tried to scope out any of the guys I might want to take interest in a little later, but noticed that Lucy was already one-step ahead of me. Hmm. Might have to do something about that soon.

She asked the mysterious looking guy who looked a little out of his element for a cigarette and I just sipped at my beer again.

"What's your name?" I asked him, looking him up and down a bit. "I'm Molly and this is Lucy."

I stood there, hiding my cigarette a little. It's been so long since I've actually smoked and I just picked up the habit again. Not exactly proud of it, but it helps out in situations I guess. I noticed some girl watching me and I tilted my head as my eyes roamed the area before they locked on her again as she came over ( ... )

"Heh." I smirked a little bit as Spike and I walked into the party. "You do realize there's nobody here over the age of 21? I think it's our job to look out for these kids, Spike. What kind of guys would we be, if we didn't? And hey, free beer." I smiled as I came into the kitchen. "Want one?"

I made short work of getting beers for me and Spike before I leaned up against the counter and looked around before I spotted the Osborn brats with Tyler's girlfriend and some other kids that I vaguely recognized from their school. I groaned as I looked back over at Spike. "Am I ever off the clock?"

And almost like they were reading my mind a couple of the teenage slayers from Faith and Spike's school came walking by. "Huh. Are we the creepy old guys at the high school party?" I asked him, which was almost cool cause it wasn't like I really had the chance to do this when I was a teenager. And damn, some of the girls here were hot.

"Some of these chicks have gotta be legal, right?" I asked him with a shrug.

Buffy was off doing somethin' or other, and I heard of this party from the job. Funny that. Little girls thinkin' that I didn't have ears, shame on them. I hear everything. Not that I exactly wanted to come by here. Just the lot of niblits runnin' a muck through a house that was going to be trashed by the end of the night, but what could I say? Free beer. And once Alec and I had made up our mind to go, it didn't take us quite a long time to get to the house ( ... )

"I like frisky." I said with a leering grin as I clinked my beer bottle up against Spike's. I'd drink to that. Taking another long swallow I couldn't help but let my eyes linger over everyone who wasn't Tyler or Lexi ok, maybe not Lexi sometimes...Eh. What does legal even mean? I mean, it means nothing because I have Grace back at home, and I'm crazy about Grace and she would hurt me very badly if she could see me right now. Buffy would probably do the same thing to Spike. But guess what? Grace and Buffy weren't here tonight ( ... )

I heard some of the girls whispering about a party at the beach house. Nothing like underage slayers mingling with underage regular kids with lots of liquor flowing to bring out the predators. I had the night off from the club so I changed into a pair of jeans and a tank top before heading out to the address on the flier that I found ( ... )

Lily was being a nag which was kind of a pain in the ass. It's not like she was that much older than me. So what if she was a chosen slayer. Um isn't that like most of the girls around LA lately are chosen or something? Whatever. I could take care of myself ( ... )

I was still trying to make nice with my brother over the whole stolen ring thing. He had no clue it was me, would never dream his sweet baby sister would go to all the trouble of trashing his place and staging a break in just to get what did technically belong to her. He was so sweet, so unbelievably naive ( ... )

I shrugged a little. "It happens when you dad's an alcoholic who slurs his drink order so badly that rum and coke becomes Roman coke to a 15 year old who starts sneaking them." I offered her a bit of a smile. It's not like I wanted to overwhelm her with my sob story right off the bat or anything ( ... )
