I just order off one of the PPV channels or the ondemand channels (there are several here now.)

Then I go in person to the sort of 'vintage' video store if it's something foreign and/or rare.

Why bother with renting actual disks? I stopped cause so many would be damaged, and it's a hassle to have to go all the way there, and then return them. .

Are there not good ondemand channels in California? (the land of movies?)

I get Netflix... I'm pretty satisfied with them, I just wish I had more money to get more DVD's at once :[ lol. When the last DVD I got ended up damaged, the new one got to me in just a day or two. My only problem is that I always end up forgetting that I have the DVD's, so I keep them for, like, 2 months.... kind of like the one I have now! Yikes. I should send that back.

my flatmate uses blockbuster and we haven't had a problem with them.

in fact, they'll let you have three mailer DVDs at home, along with however many you rented from the store. also, if you return a mailer DVD to the store instead of mailing it, you get a free one.
