Would you agree that women use the right-side of their brain more often or to a higher degree than men do? (Of course, there will be individual exceptions, but I am talking about an average selection of people.)

For those of you who aren't familiar with right/left brain concepts:
  • The left side controls logic and reasoning.
  • The right side controls ( Read more... )

I would agree to that statement as an average.

What's piquing your curiosity on the subject?

From what I have seen lately, many women just seem so emotion for reasons that men don't understand.

They also seem to like cutesie clothes where guys like more plain clothes.
Guys tend to be computer programmers, whereas women prefer to be in makeup and hair styling.

Just my observation.

not necessarily, although it may be possible. for example, women tend to have better verbal ability/verbal learning capacity which is predominantly a left hemisphere trait, although this area is typically more diffuse in women than men (i.e. there are left and right verbal areas). also, men are considered better visuo-spatially, which is a right-sided task.
the social implications of how males and females are expected to act are a big consideration as well. guys aren't 'supposed' to talk about their feelings, , girls are supposed to look pretty and like nice things, etc.
but then again, no one's really sure, although the male-visuo-spatial and female-verbal thing is pretty consistent throughout the literature.

if they do, it's because that have been taught to do so through society.

otherwise, i think it has more to do with the individual than the gender.
