Quarantine wasn't so bad, in retrospect. It gave Dietrich time to organize his thoughts, and come up with some semblance of a "plan." But Dietrich was here, and that...was a problem. The last thing he wanted was to wind up Dietrich's puppet again, and he intended to slip out of quarantine and do what he could to avoid the demon in a boy's body until he could come up with a more long-term plan that didn't simply involve trying - and probably failing - to kill him.

It only occurred to Dietrich now how much he had missed these games after the Baron had died. It had given Dietrich a very useful puppet to play with, but it simply wasn't the same as the playful (on his side, anyways) banter, and reading through every word and motion that Radu tried to put up.
Of course, he'd have to play nice enough, since Cain was here, but that was a matter of discussion once they got away from the cells. There was no benefit in keeping his presence a secret.
