I'm currently learning in sociology how none of my ideas or beliefs are, independently, my own... but how i am only an individual due to the unique CONGLOMERATION of ideas/beliefs that i hold, whereas the ideas/beliefs themselves are not unique... I know I would rather have this perspective than be in a state of ignorant stasis (breeding "reptiles of the mind" etc;) but one is hard pressed to know what one does with this information (being aware of my non-unique-ness, or being aware of your privileges and social location - or lack thereof)...
god, it took me, like, 6 tries to properly spell "privileges", geez.
anyway, I just wanted to say, don't fuss too much over utilizing your knowledge for the power of good... patience grasshopper.
