DWA: Remote 5 & 6

Feb 23, 2013 17:38

Remote is a much better drama than I anticipated and really paying attention to it, waiting for discussion, definitely makes it more fun :D

Episode 5
- lol, at this rate, Tamaki won't get laid xD
- Ya know, for seeming like a scardy-cat, Kurumi is actually quite brave. Even though she whines and pouts when she gets a call, she still goes through with it. Go you!

- The police aren't human...hmm. I just thought how our profession/job can sometimes become us, or we're so focused on it that it becomes who we are, when it's not necessarily supposed to be your whole identity. I suppose some people are more suited to be in their profession than others...I sense a hint of personal hurt in Koichi's statement -like if he were more committed to his job, he could've saved his g/f or something.

- Koichi went out of his way to call the guy and ask for a favor, which must've been hard for him to do. Even though I wanted it to work out, that Koichi could ask for the cops to retreat from the building, I'm kind of glad he got that line "I don't have time for your personal problems" thrown back at him. He's been living like this for a year, and I think he's forgotten that there are other people beyond his chain of command. Yes, he's a brilliant detective, but that doesn't mean he can be rude.

- Aww, the theme of this episode seems to be about protecting those you care about, whether they are your subordinates, are your responsibility, or your friends and colleagues.

- Oh, I didn't expect this conclusion. I thought the President had run off with the money, pretending the company had been robbed. It's interestingly, perhaps refreshingly new, that the President would sacrifice himself to save the company and its employees. It's a nice thought, but would someone really do this? I mean, I know the sense of responsibility is particularly high in Japanese culture, but is this realistic?

- I don't think it was the greatest thing for Kurumi to have arrested Endo Kyoka. While I understand where Koichi was coming from, like you don't want another cop being rough in arresting her, I think it would cause a great hurt in Kurumi to have to do that; she betrayed her after all. Idk...that's just what I'm thinking. What do you guys think?

- Aw, that was a nice ending :)

Episode 6
-lol, interesting opening xD You know how you can sometimes put yourself into shows/movies/stories as if you're the heroine/hero? I like how they did that concept as the opener. Maybe they were just cheap on casting two extra people, but it made me think of that.
- Ahhahaha, Shingo's still a man, isn't he? He has needs too xD
- "At a friend's house," really? Isn't he your fiance?
- Okay, now the music is reminding me of SPEC. Does anyone else think this? I looked up the music composers for both dramas and they're not the same.
- haha, you're saying that fighting spices the relationship up? xD
- Ahh, their perverted humor causes me second-hand embarrassment xD
- Kurumi's really cute in that maid outfit :)
- Awww, there's a glimmer of shipperyness ahead? We're slowly seeing Koichi open up, and the drama was hinting at match-making *raises eyebrow* lol But Kurumi seems like a character who would be faithful to Tamaki...unless she really confronts her feelings (if she has any, that is) for Koichi and just goes for it...hmm...
