DWA: Dating Agency Cyrano eps. 1-2

So, what did you guys think?

At first, I was trying to recall how the movie went, but gave up mid-way because I was only confusing myself.
And then a question came up -what is 'cyrano?' It's all of these things. I didn't get a chance to read through all of them, but I'm assuming it's in reference to it.

My thoughts:

Apparently the movie you mentioned was based on Cyrano de Bergerac, so I guess this is too ( ... )

They are professionals after all. I think the girl just must be a little slow.

The "idol-turned-actress" vibe is kind of like when you can tell the idol is acting more like themselves than the character, or that the character was made too close to the idol's original personality to compensate for lack of acting skills. I don't know Sooyoung that well, but she seems like she's acting versus just being a dramatized herself ( ... )

it was very easy to watch eps for me (I tink bcos I didn't have the urge to constantly check japanese)
what surprised me is that it's been 2 eps so far, and the story about the vet hasn't finished yet. I expected a new story in every ep.
I also kept wondering how the things worked with the waiter and ballet girl. will their story have a real continuation?
for me the idea of agency is like "we make the target fall in love with client, and after falling in love they can't think straight and stop paying attention to things like status, profession etc"
they make girls fall in love with their fantasies, and that actually pretty much happens in real life too, I think. when people see their partner not as who he/she really is, but as who they want to see.
I would also like to see the story of how they make man fall in love with woman (so far targets are women)

I have that problem if I watch Japanese stuff with English subs too. But with Korean stuff my brain insists on both reading the subs and listening to the words anyway even though I don't understand most of them, so that can be tiring too.

I'm glad they seem to be carrying out the stories a little longer than just one episode.

It seems we won't get more of their story because it looks like those actors only guested in the first episode. I do think it would be really interesting to see what happens with the set-up couples later on, though trying to fit all that in along with the overall story would probably get overwhelming.

I hope we get to see lots of variations in the set-ups too.

I had a thought about how this drama would be if it were a jdrama -rather than spend 2.5 episodes to finish this case, they might zoom through it in 1.5 episodes and they wouldn't be able to establish that kind of connection between the client and the target.

Hmmm, you make a good point. Once you fall in love with someone, your judgement is kind of impaired xD

I agree! I wanna see all kinds of things!
