[leaving.]

*in Boy's Cabin 11, one of the inhabitants' belongings is conspicuously absent. As is the inhabitant! But the bed is neatly made, the cabin has been left tidy, and there's no longer such a sense of teethiness and doom coming from the interdimensional closet.

Notes have also been left: some on other cabinmates' beds, a few on non-cabinmates' beds, and one for Cecile left tucked in Koroku's bandana. There's also a general note to Boys' 11's inhabitants tacked up on the door.

The 'Tenkai' slot on the Tablet of Stars has been wiped completely clean.*

[To Boys' 11:]

It's time. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting me stay here, and if ever there is an opportunity to return the favor, it will happen.

[To Cecile (and the dogs):]

I...am very sorry not to be able to take you back home with me--you're the most faithful guard that I know--but in this, it seems, I am not offered many choices. Rest assured at least that I am safe, and will remain safe until your return, and that Budehuc is as lovely and prosperous as it was in Captain Brown's days and will grow into something even better.

The young alligator I brought back for you has elected to follow me, and is stubbornly attached to the seat of my pants, so he'll be waiting for you as well! I promise to have an appropriate moat dug and to care for him myself. Koichi, Conii, Kosanji, Kogorou and Koroku's kennels will also remain taken care of.

Ah...this is a difficult letter to write, much less to end. Take care of yourself, Captain of the Castle Guard.

*giant splotch of ink*

I'll miss you.

[To Hugo and Caesar:]

I'm still not sure what these 'condoms' are used for, but perhaps Eike will know the ideal uses of such an accessory! I'll ask him, since I am not allowed enough time to ask you.

May you make the decisions that are happiest for you both. In case our paths ever cross again, you know that you have have always been and will always be very welcome at Budehuc Castle.

[To Bishop Sasarai:]

If you ever require a home away from Harmonia, please, direct a message my way.

{To Gaignun Kukai Jr.:]

I'm afraid you'll have to teach me Go Fish some other day. I look forward to it.

[To Wakaba and Akane:]

There is a lake, at home, though not one I am thrown into quite so regularly. Consider this an invitation to see it? I do not know if such a thing might happen, but of course, anything is possible.

Thank you for all that you have done.
