Off to Nevada on Friday
I'm off to my first Burning Man on Friday. I've been able to relax a bit this week, previous weeks were rammed full of Super Street Fire, the Humber Bridge Project, and solar work. -
What have I been up to?
Well, yesterday I was up for 42 hours, the first bit was installing solar panels, then a full night of electronics for the creatures we're putting on the Humber Bay Arch Bridge, and then 18 hours to actually mount the creatures on the bridge. Art projects
I spent the weekend working on 2 different art projects. One is Super Street Fire, which is heading to Burning Man this year. The other is smaller and will be displayed in Toronto hanging inside the Humber Bay Bridge (the pedestrian one at the southernmost point of the river). -

Trip to Pittsburgh with Charles, Ekh, and Llanel was fun. Very friendly people, good food, horrible transportation system. -

...my Guinness boxer shorts. You've had a longer relationship with my intimate parts then any woman I've known. But it's finally time to part ways. In other news, I'm off to Mt. Well, That was Random
Marina and I just checked into a hotel in Guatape (outside Medellin), and then it started raining, and then a song and dance number broke out on the street below our balcony (complete with a marching band playing Lady Gaga)! Am I having fun in Colombia? Hell Yeah! -
Flying on a jet plane.
I'm sitting in the Pearson VIP lounge enjoying excellent ravioli and beer from the self-serve bar (thanks for the hook-up Janak). Next stop is Bogota, Colombia. -
Today is a recovery day.
Just woke up. Nuit Blanche aftermath: I was up for 33 hours going really hard the entire time from 8AM Saturday morning to 5PM on Sunday. Strike took about 9 hours on Sunday. I just finished sleeping like a dead man, and my lower back feels like the Argos had a game on it. But we puled off something amazing and had a great time doing it. The first ( Read more... )
