Carnival! (for Will)

While the island had changed for some reason or another, Helen wasn't particularly interested in exploring it. The constant din of carnival music made it nearly impossible to work and she was grateful her hut, at least, was some ways away from most of the civilization on the island. He pushed the lid of the laptop down just a little more. "All things you can do after we go have some fun," he told her. "Games and rides and prizes and all the fried food you can eat." Will was pretty much dying for a real cheeseburger and fries at this point, and a soda, and maybe a funnel cake and holy crap, he'd even seen a sign for deep-fried cupcakes. Seriously? How could he pass that up?

"Ah, so my hips will grow exponentially. Are you trying to fatten me up for the winter, Will? I assure you, it's not necessary. I have enough padding as it is."

Still, she conceded and closed her laptop before standing up and brushing invisible lint off her t-shirt and jeans. "All right, you've convinced me."
