No, You're not avoiding me at all.

There's nothing to apologize for. I was...in a great deal of pain, and you comforted me like a friend. I needed that, and I'm grateful you saw fit to give it to me.

There was a kiss, if you'll remember, but I hardly count the sort of thing I might receive on my cheek from a child as binding.
