[It's is both a relief and kind of confusing. Who, he wonders, hijacks a man without knowing anything about him?]

No more than I know about any of the new arrivals on this ship.

[ Even ones he might usually know something about. ]

This happens a lot? Quite the operation.

[Letting the sphere bob up and away from him. The other half of this conversation doesn't seem like the forthcoming type, but this is his first and best chance for information, even if it's likely to be monitored]

[Thanks to the lack of gravity, Abel is quite sideways - though he's smiling, nonetheless.]

But it would be so much harder for us to talk if you took the poor little thing apart, don't you think?

[Well, that's a bit disconcerting. Kazuhiko grabs the sphere and turns it a few times, but the image on his side stays stationary; it seems he has no control over the rest of the system.]

Poor little thing. Is that all they're for?

[His glasses try to float away when he scratches the back of his head thoughtfully, and he pins them down with a finger once more.] Ah, yes, so far as I can tell.

They're perfectly harmless!

[Fortunately his specs come with a tether, of sorts. And that, he thinks, depends on what you say into them. After all, it's a mysterious unsecured line...]

Where did they come from?

[Has just finished changing into something more suitable (how her clothes got here, she has no idea) when she hears Kazuhiko's voice from across the room. Frantically, she moves across the room as quickly as she can, grabbing the sphere and staring into. The sight of Kazuhiko's face makes her stop and for a moment, she can't breathe.]

[By now Kazuhiko's skipping from conversation to conversation easily, but he blinks as this new image flashes past his eyes. It can't have been what he thought, but still, her name's on his lips.]

Oruha?

. . . Kazuhiko.

[It's her voice. For an instant, he believes that it really is Oruha. Then reality intrudes, and his anger rises at whatever sick bastard's using her image for this.]

Oh, a veteran. [Nodding back, only slightly ironically.] I've decided to keep this thing for now, but good to meet you.
