Gay Pride

I'm really against the whole "Gay Pride" scene because they promote this lifestyle as a dramatic way of life when it's simply a preference of same sex relationships. Not only that, the way they show it is really stupid with drag queens and stuff that has no relation.

I just am, and pride started WW2.

As for gay marriage though, I'm all for it. Simply because there aren't any serious forms of relationships when you are gay. It would really change the community for the better once the gay & lesbians have a right to love. They give up on love, hence the problem of not having anything to base a serious relationship and commitment on.

i think that gay pride and nationalistic pride are two different things. also the fact that gay and lesbians are still in many places second class citizens. there is,in many places, a sort of societal pressure to feels shame, implications that their lifestyle is invalid (be it the acts of other people in the community or the government not allowing them the "right" to marry, etc.)
they're not showing pride because they think they're better than anyone else, it's because they want to be considered equal to everyone else.
they are allowed to marry here, which i think is wonderful. now i wonder how long it takes to change school curriculums so that they include same sex parent families.
