The Morning After.

May 18, 2010 10:37

Who: Martha and Snape
What: ...Morning After Regrets? Post-Flood Embarrassment?
When: The morning after the flood waters recede.
Where: Uh...Martha's room.
Warnings: Snape let Martha cut off his hair. That's pretty scary. Sexual suggestion, and language probably.

When a person who has been having a lie-in wakes up, generally they yawn. Perhaps they stretch, turn over, and pull the covers closer before gradually opening their eyes and convincing themselves to get out of bed. This is a normal thing. At any rate, it's the normal thing Snape had been doing since forgetting who he was.

Today, however, he came awake all at once. One moment he was asleep, and the next, his eyes were open. This was normal for him, but it probably also had something to do with the fact that there was someone else in bed with him.

And not his bed, either.

He slowly propped himself up on his elbow to assess the damage (so to speak), his head a little fuzzy - and quite sore, actually - and tried to recall exactly what had happened. That came all at once, too. Of course, he handled it in the most dignified manner he could muster:

He yelled, leapt out of bed with enough presence of mind to take a blanket with him for modesty's sake, and backed into the wall.
