So I'm in Gatlinburg, Tennessee right now - totally fucking awesome!  It's like Myrtle Beach without the ocean.  Nothing but shitty tourist shops, people selling timeshares, and neon lights.  Still, it's hilarious.  I've been having a good hike through the Smokies, although I still have about a day's worth of walking before I'm technically through

Do you really have room in that pack for a bigass foam cowboy hat? Because if you do that's awesome. But, if you don't and instead you're wearing the bigass foam cowboy hat while hiking, that's even better.

I'm really glad to hear that you're still mozying(sp?) along. I just got back from a week in New York, my grandfather died, which sucks, but at least everyone gets along now so it wasn't too bad to be up there. When you get back I need your address, we're doing the big wedding stuff for next summer. We've decided to ditch the reception and have a field party which should be fun. After all, it's not a wedding until someone pukes. Anyhow, hope the rest of the hike continues to go smoothly.

Whoa, sorry to hear about your grandfather. That really sucks. I hope everyone's doing alright with it.

I'll be back in Roanoke in probably another month or so, and I dunno if I'm going to keep pushing North or cut it off there, since I think I'm going to enroll at Western and try to knock out a semester's worth of credits before I move. I'll hit you with my parents' new address when I remember it (I'm still learning it).

No foam cowboy hat to be found, but I did consider purchasing a Final Fantasy gunblade from one of the many gun/knife/headshops in town. Oh well, there's always next time.

Hey Darlin', you haven't updated in a couple of weeks, I'm getting worried, but I hope that means that you'll be back soon and not that you're being eaten by a pack of mountain mice or attacked by wild goats or something. I'm really worried that you've gotten sick or dehydrated from the heat, this is definitely a rough time of year to be hiking. Oh I hope you're okay!

Hey there sweetheart, we went to go see a show at the Orange Peel in Asheville the other day (cool venue) and as we were driving back yesterday the rain was ridiculous. And, I know you're out hiking in that which scares me, so yeah, I'm really worried about you right now. I can't wait until you're back safe and sound.
