[Ridley's arrival is marked by the sound of scraping and pounding on the walls of one of the Deck 4 rooms. The communicator never sounds. In fact it is altogether disregarded by the large creature that has found itself in a rather nicely furnished room. Furniture is torn apart and tossed to the side until the creature determines how to use the door ( Read more... )

Go crazy with this guy. Also, it'll be a couple hours until I can tag back. getmesomewhisky July 4 2010, 20:54:49 UTC
[Hearing the scraping and other various sounds, Xanxus emerges from his room to give whoever was responsible a piece of his mind. It doesn't take long for him to spot Ridley, and when he does, he just... stares.]

[A human. Ridley hisses lowly as he sizes the human up. So... this was a Federation vessel, was it? Time to get some answers. Ridley quickly is upon the human, moving with surprising size for a creature his size, aiming to pin the human down with his three clawed hand.]

[Whoa, whoa, he's going to leap out of the way now. If he had his weapons, he could easily take down a monster like this (or at least he thinks he could), but without them, it was probably unlikely. So he's not going to bother fighting back and just watch the creature for his next move.]

[Unfortunately Ridley in a hallway makes for a fairly tight squeeze. Ridley's tail whips around and will plant itself in the wall near Xanxus, while he once again attempts to pin the human down with his claw. Surprisingly Ridley is attempt to be delicate in order to capture this human.]

[There are a number of things that Kevas can expect to see on his way to the buffet. A giant rampaging vulture-lizard-thing is not on that list. This can be one of two things. Either it's another random horror that the boat has conjured up or this is one very angry passenger. Probably the latter.]

Uh...joo be alright dere mon?

[Ready to run in three...two...]

[Ridley takes one step forward and pauses. Almost as if there's some sense of recognition on his part. In truth, Ridley could care less for the creature's words. He was attempting to identify the species. It was humanoid. Close enough. Maybe a lesser member of the Federation. He could still be useful. So Ridley pounces forward, aiming to pin him down at once.]

[And one! Kevas leaps backwards to avoid the massive creature. He's not sure what's wrong with it but he's not sticking around to find out. Drawing a knife from his belt Kevas hurls it towards the creature's face. It's little more than a diversion while Kevas attempts to get away.]

[Ridley shakes his head slightly in confusion as the knife bounces off his skull. It's only a momentary distraction before Ridley is racing on all fours after Kevas. In larger quarters, Ridley would easily overtake most two legged creatures. However his wings in this small corridor is problematic as he keeps bouncing off the walls and having his wings caught on various objects on the way. It's really slowing him down here.]

[All the noise perked 'Moramee's interest. It was the sound of struggle, and where there was struggle, there was usually conflict-- something he wanted wholeheartedly to take part in.

When he arrives on the scene and sees Ridely tearing down the halls, he hardly seems phased.]

What are you doing.

[There's a pause as Ridley sees the next creature in his encounter. By now, there's probably blood on his talons. (Or not! That remains to be seen.) He quirks his head slightly as he studies this newest creature. Only vaguely humanoid. Not any species he recognized. It did however speak and shows signs of basic intelligence. So Ridley stops and composes himself, leaning back on his haunches. He's ready to rip this one apart if he has to, but for now... it could be a fellow prisoner of Federation scum.]

Attempting an escape. [A momentary pause.] What is your species and planet?

Attempting an escape at this point is not wise.

I am a Sangheili. We hail from Sanghelios. We are the leading caste of the holy Covenant.

[Ridley tilts his head in confusion.]

I have not heard of Sanghelios.

[Barricade is, as usual, making his way up to the deck for solar recharge. (read: in need of beauty recharge--he is crabby)]

Mind not blockin' the slaggin' hallway, ugly?

[Ah that patented Barricade charm!]

[It's not the insult that causes Ridley to pause upon seeing Barricade. Rather it's his construction. He's seen many, many robotic sentinels. None quite as snappy as this one. Perhaps a sentient one, like the pitiful Elysians? It's hard to tell if it's Federation in origin, so he pauses his barreling forward to regard it, remaining poised for attack if the conversation takes a turn he doesn't care for.]

You are one to talk, mechanoid.

[Barricade notices the attack posture. Yeah? He's got one too. Let him show it to you.]

Yeah, I am one to talk. How 'bout that?

Got a problem with robots, ugly?

They are of limited use. Far too easy to dismantle. [Ridley remains unmoving, only shifting his head as he continues to suffer this one. It was certainly built well.] State your allegiance, mechanoid.

[Kim's just sort of wandering around towards the buffet, footling with her comm, when an unusual sound stops her dead.]

hmm...

[Another human. Ridley does not even notice the cybernetic parts (and wouldn't care if he did), instead moving quickly in an attempt to seize her and pin her to the ground with his claws.]

[Kim tries to dodge, but her athletic coordination has never been particularly excellent. She goes down like a sack of flesh bolted to a slightly smaller sack of scrap-metal, pinned to the deck quite handily. Her comm goes skittering off to the side, beeping unhappily at some button pressed in the panic]

Augh Wha...

[OH shit. Let the freaking out begin, now.]

...Dragon.

[Ridley pins her between his claws, two of his fingers on either side of her neck and his thumb beneath her right arm, gripping her as thought she was a rag dog. He keeps her pinned to the ground, his hot breath steaming through his nose as he quietly studies her. There's a rumble inside of him that eventually takes the tone of snickering as his beak opens. And then he speaks.]

Human. Planet and sector.
