My status

Recently, some of my friends have called me out on my recent behavior; that I'm acting dull and sluggish, irritable, and not always wanting to hang out or participate in things with them. This is not necessarily the case. I wanted to put things in perspective so people understand where I'm coming from when I say "Nah, I think I'll just stay in ( Read more... )

This explains the eternally "surprised" look your LJ icon has.

Oh... I also took my clan back.

Wow Jon...that's really.......er.....shitty. No pun intended.

Okay, maybe the pun was intended a little bit, but I hope I at least got a giggle out of you for it. :)

It's okay, it's something I've pretty much learned to live with, so I can make light of it, too. ;)

Ah much of this I know pretty well already, though Jon you are always more than welcome to come up here and visit for a bit (with some advance warning of course) see the wonders of six flags, or possibly next summer come up for a weekend to go to the bristol renaissance faire?

Just take care of yourself at your own pace and don't let anyone rush you through it, their quick fix isn't always your quick fix.

Though the idea of steroid therapy does interest me a bit, was this something that your doctor was telling you would be a long term therapy (a few years to the rest of your life) or a short term therapy (a few days to weeks)? Because I can understand the bone density problem showing up in long term therapies but am unsure if it has any major effect in short term therapies.

I'm pretty sure he said it'd be long-term, which is why I pretty much mentally responded with "fuck that" after he told me.

It's pretty much something I've adapted to having. On the plus side, I'm never constipated. >_>

Well never being constipated is a major plus, what with the number of old folks I see each week complaining about BM problems of all kinds.

That Jon and I am sure pretty much all of our mutual friends would agree, we like seeing a happy and healthy Jon. And with the way medical technology is going these days maybe something better will come along that doesn't involve long term drugs or surgery (I checked the wiki link and it did state that surgery was one possible alternative, which I believe kyochan had something similar done a while ago for her own problem).

Just keep them options open and keep checking back with your doctor as to what they can do for you, maybe something better will come along for you!
