cleaning out my desk

in a little more than one week's time i'll be breathing portland air. sitting still gets tough when i let myself really think about it. i can't wait to speed through the west hills, careening around corners blasting jimmy eat world forgetting all about resumes and world politics and confusing boys and collaposed bridges. i know you can never go ( Read more... )

How long will you be in Portland? Mary, Jen, and I are heading to Montana to visit Laura this weekend, BUT...I'm moving on the 15th and if you're still around it's mandatory that you come to the housewarming party. Mandatory, you hear?!

i think i have a book co written by him.."geography and the human spirit". alas, i haven't read it yet. i took a politics class last term where we had a GIS lab, it was a lot of fun.

wish i could see you when you're home, but i am in chile.

I'll be in Beaverton til the 1st, school doesnt start til the 24th but I'm moving in early. We'll do coffee or boba.

Hey, good to hear you didn't bite the dust in that bridge collapse. So you switched to geography for this topophilia, the spirituality and emotions one can feel when in nature? Interesting, I didn't realize there was a name and a movement for that, that's pretty neat.

- i think the trick is to find the way that allows you to give love recklessly your whole life, in spite of the consequences or surroundings - obviously i haven't found that, and obviously that's something you could have predicted me saying :P

-i think we're both topophiles in that sense.
