Shar, it's so good to read an update from you! I can't believe the wedding is so soon - I'll definitely be expecting to see pictures when I come home.

And it is majorly nifty that you're picking up some Chinese, both spoken and (gasp!) written. I didn't even bother with literacy when I rented those Mandarin CDs this summer, haha. Sounds like you've got some pretty cool courses.

I would use written very loosely... it looks more like chicken scratch if you ask me... No problem with the pictures. I'm sure there will be plenty around :) I hope everything is going well with your classes too! ~Sharon

aww, yay happy classes!! i really want to take modern chinese next semester, but i'm afraid it might be too hard. but as for chinese, ma for mother is first tone, so, err, sort of flat? and ma for horse is third tone, so your voice would have to go down and back up. which i always forget to do. and always get picked on in class when i forget too...

well, enjoy the wedding!! and even if it's not yours, no getting stressed out :P
