Blog Comment Spam

Byron, while lots of people use pybloxsom, wordpress, etc, I have found that using livejournal gets me 1 great thing, I have only ever had 1 comment spam, and most people I know using livejournal don't get many either.

I guess that they get tonnes and have managed to combat it well.

Anyone out there that uses livejournal and gets much comment

I run my own LiveJournal server (OpenWeblog.com) and I've only gotten one spam. It was manually posted and directly related to the content of the message. Someone was trying to promote a class-action lawsuit related to a toxic explosion in my hometown.

I suspect the LJ/spam thing has more to do with the fact that LJ isn't running on as many IP addresses as those other bits of blogging software.
