I can't really understand the need to buy such high-end hardware... Of course, buying a killer machine is always a temptation since it doesn't happen all that often, but i tend to favor slightly cheaper hardware. Anyway, goes without saying i badly envy your cpu and 19" flat screens. ;-)

I wouldn't have gone with any nvidia hardware. Their lack of friendlyness for Open Source make them to not deserve any money....

I'm not sure the MacMini Intel whil make a good liunx ATM. Event though it has an Intel video card instead of the unsupported ATI, it might take some time before it is good for that....

Your trying to make me drool?!?!

I'm currently running a beasty box, but looking at upgrading a few things... Namely I want a X2 but in S939 form and 19" LCD.

How much did you end up paying for your LCD's? And what was your reason for going with LG's? The cheapest I could find that model in WA appeared to be about $440. I couldn't find it on your work site, but the LG 1952S-SF looks fairly decent.

I was originally looking at Samsung, due to a lovely dead pixel warranty.

Anyway, nice to see you again the other day. You lucky bastard, getting to work in that lovely server room! (Yes, the server has been nicely cleaned up).

Catch ya!

I paid about $420ish (i get wholesale shoot me an email and i'll see what price I can get for you :)

The 1952S seems to be the new version of the 1950s i got

we use LG extensively at work and I liked the 1950s because they had an even bezel all the way around and it was thin (as I have two a thin and even bezzle makes them nice)
