the interview seemed to go well on wednesday, however they never called yesterday, finally called about an hour a ago and said the boss is only wanting to pay someone $10 an hour. ya eff that....maybe as a part time job, I asked them if they would do that and they said not for that position ( Read more... )

I work for FCSO's Medicare Part B Provider line. They hire people to work part-time from 10-3, Mon-Fri, and I think the pay starts at like $13 or $14...maybe you should transfer.

we were told we cant make any lateral moves, but im not sure of whether that applies to FCSO. the hours though of 10-3 wouldn't really help me, it would be passed the time chuck has to be in to work (2:30), so i'd be having to pay for childcare still. if i get a part time job it either has to be early am and be home by 1:30 pm, or chuck can switch to days and i'd have to work nights. the only way we can swing part time for me is eliminating childcare. im kind of stuck at bcbs...my performance and quality have been great, but my schedule adherance score is right below the standard, so im most likely going to be written up in my mbo tomorrow...the whole point of me teleworking was the felxibility in schedule, but they have completely taken it away in my area...its hard to even get pto for a drs appt unless you schedule it a month ahead. I wish i could just switch to a different department.. ::sigh::

I wish you could come to my area.. you could even have my teleworking spot!

I think it's completely retarded how they have taken away the flexibility of your day. That's like THE point of teleworking.. or one of the main ones. It's so stupid.

I thought that you can't get written up for PTO though anymore? Isn't that corporatewide? As long as you have PTO available to use you can't get on corrective action for using it.. there isn't even PTU anymore. I mean, they can say stuff to you about it in MBO's I guess but they shouldn't be allowed to put you on any form of corrective action or coaching or anything anymore.

yeah the way they write you up now is for your WFM schedule adherance score. there are no more "occurences" but any more than one deviation from your schedule in a month makes you fail the schedule adherance score. (and a tardy is now considered 1 minute).
