LIRL the whole city is doing it. Well, most people, plus a lot of large buildings and stuff. Plus there's an acoustic concert being held downtown with Nelly Furtado and stuff. I'm not going, but needless to say there has been a lot of press coverage about it for a while now.
I thought about the same thing, and I've looked, but I can't find it anywhere. I think it's meant for it to be in each city's timezone, although that is a bit weird and not really organised...
It might make sense -- I mean, 8PM for me is not 8PM for Sara, and when it's 8 for me it's not dark enough for Sara to need to turn lights off, right? Whereas at 8PM I'm guessing most places are dark enough outside that there would be lights on, presumably.
I made sure we did it at Lindsey's. We kept one light on, but we dimmed it, so it was almost all the way dark, because we couldn't play poker in complete darkness. We also saw other houses on the street turn off their lights. :)
I did it! Turned off the lights and had some candles on. Was odd to say the least, I even cooked in the dark. But I think I was one of the few who did it in Buenos Aires. Know anyone else?!
