I need to write, but I have discovered that if I don't have deadlines set up, it is very hard for me to actually sit down and have enough time for myself to write. Whether it's fanfiction or original fiction, give me communities, challenges, personal sites, fanfiction archives in which there are challenges going on or about to start and so that I ( Read more... )

Otherwise, we cannot fight against procrastination. Very sad.

I read your poems, and I thought there were really good. Oh, but you had to write them for collge, didn't you? I remember now. What about 2007, though? All those fics? HOW DID YOU DO IT? GIVE ME YOUR SECRET INGREDIENT, GIMME, GIMME, GIMME.

Ahem. All right, then.

Focusing on writing original fic is the hardest part, I think, because fanfiction is... easier, or whatever. You already have the characters. With orig!fic they keep on changing and molding into other people and doing things you don't want them to do.

I don't have Creative Writing classes at school, so this one time, last week, I got really inspired while writing this commentary on a poem, and wrote a note for my teacher (P.S.: Grace, we should so have Creative Writing classes.) I'm dreading getting her response now.

Try omniocular's April non-fiction challenge. There are some pretty cool prompts.

I am not that involved in the fanfic-writing side of fandom so I issue you a challenge myself:

I give you one month exactly to write an L/J fic. Witty, sarcastic, perhaps some fluffiness near the end. Lots of flirting. Humorous marauders encouraged. Good luck.

I'm pretty sure femgenficathon is opening up, and so is hallowedmoments. I hope I got those names right. Anyway, they look interesting enough. I was thinking of singing up for the femgen one, but I don't know. I'm really bad about finishing challenges. Honestly I write best when there ARE deadlines -- for school.

Like write now? Could totally be writing. But instead I am doing an essay. Woe.

I'll try to send you a letter for our project, too. I've been sort of distracted and can't seem to decide what precisely I want Pollux to sound like. Oh, and I maybe sort-of have an idea for another compilation of sorts? You can harass me about it if you're interested. =) Nothing big, but yes.

I'm kind of stupidly amused by the fact that I wrote "write now". Hahaha.

I don't know if you ship non-canon Twilight ships, but I have a challenge for you because this particular ship has no challenges within it :D

Write a Jasper/Bella oneshot, as long as you like. You have a month!

LOL I hope I don't sound too harsh, I have never in my life set a deadline for anyone @__@
