NY here I come!

Well I'm all booked up for my trip to New York for the marathon; Tony is able to travel with me.. we thought he may have to stay due to his Dad's illness, but he's made a good recovery and well & truly on the mend. I'm staying on 43rd as it's only a few blocks from Central Park and the finish line of the race... I'll be able to collapse in the room

Good luck. I only have a 10km run in October, nothing compared to a marathon!

Thanks.. I'll need it; though I'm just going to try to treat it as a training run in disguise of sightseeing!! One of the gp's I work with said to stop & take photographs en-route and just have fun.. good advice I think!

Cool! I just got my room booked too. Not as close, but your only as far from anything in NYC as a subway ride, or cab.

Hope we can get in some touristy things in together. I've never seen Ellis Island, Statue of Liberty, Ground Zero, Empire State etc, even though I've been to NYC a few times.

My friends & I ran into some problems in Toronto last year since some of us didn't have international service (we were meeting up with an LJ friend from the UK). But some text messaging did get through, which was odd.

Just want to make sure we don't miss one another! I am really looking forward to this.

*update* Forgot to tell you when I'm flying in. Oops! Haven't booked my plane tickets yet, but I'm planning on arriving Friday (30th) morning.

Late on 29th October.. Marathon is on sunday 1st November and we leave monday for overnight trip to the falls, back tuesday evening to get our flight home wednesday. When do you leave for Hong Kong?

I am so sorry. I stupidly thought it was September. Now I realize that you did tell me when the marathon was, and I forgot to check. I am really sorry, and disappointed in myself. :(
