I have been doing stuff, I swear! :D

Lets see. As most of you know, Teddy bought me the domain www.handmadebybethany.com! It was such a sweet thing to do - I was going through the process of opening my etsy store, and getting paypal set up, and he went and did something so sweet! :D What a guy. Right now nothing is actually set up in my shop, but ( Read more... )

Oo what a unique bag and camera case. (You know I love bags.. so that drew me in instantly) linky to that pattern persons site pretty please?

Also, what pattern is that bag? I love the size and fabric you chose. The labels are super adorable and professional as well.

Her patters are still $5! I do love them! There are not as many photos as I like, but the directions are clear, and she has a lot of in depth how-to's on her website.

This is a pretty advanced pattern, so make yourself some tea and read it through first! I had to get extra help from around the internet for some steps, but it's full of photos.

Honestly right now I need lots of photos to follow things. Online tutorials are perfect at my level. I bought some paper bag patterns and well.. I'm kind of lost. Do I need to buy tracing paper, and how do I get the big stuff? I just got some interfacing so I can give a bag a shot on my day off Thursday though!
I haven't done anything with zippers yet, any tips?

Thank you so much!! <3

I actually find zippers really easy! Just take your time and it will be good. Really, now that you've done a couple bags, you can definitely manage any of the ones I just linked too!

I don't even know what paper bag patterns are? Almost everything I've ever made has been a PDF that I just print, tape and cut. My preferred method, actually!

If you need big pattern paper, I think you can get it at any craft store, though I've never looked for it. I've heard a lot of people use freezer paper for patterns too!

Astral TV did a little presentation for us on lighting and stuff to help us radio peeps shoot better video, and I guess even a big, bright white piece of bristol board can be an okay reflector. :D
