I've always wondered about all of the destroyed furniture in the Salvatore house. I assume, since they're immortals, they've incidentally collected stuff over the years that is now antique and worth lots of money.
What I've never considered is that Elena seems to live this unrealistic existence where she is the illegal guardian of a 16 year-old and has no job/source of income. (I looked it up. In the state of Virginia, you aren't considered an adult until you're 19 unless you're 18 and out of high school.)
Saw your posts when you applied at Bloodstream, and wanted to answer some of these! (FUN!)
Who cleans the Salvatore house? They're men and I'm sure if they're anything like my boyfriend, the place would be a pig-sty by now.
I'm pretty sure it's Damon. We've seen him doing household duties a lot. Going back to even ep 3 of season one (helping Elena put dishes away). He's always fixing broken things around the house, cleaning up rugs, laying towels down on the couch when someone is bleeding, complaining when things get messed up. It's one of my favorite Damon-traits; he's clearly a clean-freak.
Do the Salvatore brothers replace all the furniture they break?
I'm sure Damon does.
Who is paying for Elena's crap?
I think the Gilbert's were a fairly well off family and that money really isn't an issue. They seemed like old school money and Grayson was a doctor too. It seems like all the Founding families had money (except for the Forbes', but they seem like they are comfortable).
Has Elena had to go to court for truancy yet?
