Do the souls of 100 witches just hate Damon? Stefan can navigate perfectly fine.

This one I can answer because I was annoyed about it, but my friend came up with a perfectly valid explanation that works for me. Stefan had already made the 'we hate Klaus more than you and your bro' deal with them because once Damon was a part of that deal, they stopped messing with his daylight ring. So they were probably mean to him too when he first showed up. At least that's what I'm telling myself.
