Aegis fanfic! *tackles* Oh, my poor Izare. You've captured him perfectly - or my understanding of him, at least. This is exactly how I've always imagined he feels and thinks, and what motivates him. The idea of Jino as the only pure thing he has left fits so well with volumes five and six, too. There's a short part at the end of five, where Izare is having a sort of imagined conversation with Jino about why he does what he does, that reminds me so much of what you've written here.

Thanks for posting this - it's made my day, albeit by reminding me once again of why I find Aegis such a heart-wrenching read. ^_^

Tehe, thankyou. <3 Izare broke my heart into little pieces while I was writing it. I'm so glad you think I've captured him, I have a complete paranoia/obsession with keeping people in character, so it's always reassuring to be told I managed. *sighs* Poor Izare.

I reeeeeally don't want Aegis to reach its end, purely because I will bawl my eyes out when those boys meet their inevitable tragic end.

Why do the best series always seem to be the ones with inevitable tragic ends? Is this part of some conspiracy to cull the fangirl numbers by instigating mass heartbreak? Well, it's working. *sniffles pathetically*

Yes, consistent characterisation is difficult - particularly in fanfiction, I'd guess, since that involves trying to realistically portray someone else's characters. I think you've done a great job of it, though. ^_^

(By the way, am I right in thinking this takes place in the volume 2 scene where Izare reaches for Jino while he's unconscious, hesitates, then holds him? It seemed to be, but I just wanted to check. It fits it so well.)

whew~ i dunno enough about the other two fandoms you have up here to read 'em, but from what i can tell, they're beautiful. Just like the Dogs one. just LOVELY. You've captured Badou and Heine's little moment quite well. Keep up the great work!!
