i know what you mean. i took my sats late, so i got my applications out, so i haven't heard back from some schools. so i keep getting asked. i just say "i'm crossing my fingers to hear back from so-and-so" but if you don't know, that'd be frustrating. you can just say "you know, i'm not sure. since IM ALREADY IN COLLEGE, i'm pretty busy!" haha.

and if you and alex are serious about your relationship, you can make it through college. i promise you that. andrew and i did it for two years of his college career. =]

ya. i dont even know what my top school is because i havent seen a lot of the schools. so that makes it even harder.
ugh. i hate how i havent heard back from all the places yet. its making things harder. cause i dont know if they havent sent me anything because im on the wait list or if they aren't going to accept me or if they are being stupid and just wont send me the acceptance letter. if im wait listed at schools that will make things even harder cause then i wont know what to do if i really like one of the places that im wait listed at. ugh ugh ugh. it sucks.

ya. we are pretty dang serious. we want to go to school together. if we did go to different schools i would want to stay together, but he doesn't entirely believe in long distance. we could try but im afraid that because he has the mentality that they wont work that he will make it not work. its so hard to think about.

i tottttttally know what you mean as far as schools go AND as far as your relationship goes.
but honestly, lauren, as hard as it is (and believe me, i KNOW how hard it is) if it comes down to alex not tolerating a long distance relationship and your options are to break up or attend the same school, please think really long and hard about that decision. going to a university is a lot different than community college (as i'm sure you know, you're not an idiot) and as much as it may hurt to break up with alex, serving your own needs as far as a college goes is SO much more important than a high school relationship, no matter how mature each person is.

so... even if it's not necessarily what you want to hear, or even if you already know this in your heart, i thought i'd throw in my two cents. =]

ya i know. its just really hard to think about. we are both thinking about what is best for ourselves when we pick a college. hes not going to follow me and im not going to follow him. we will go to the same school if we both like the school and if it has what we are each looking for at the individual level.
i think part of it is we havent ever actually been faced with it actually happening. we both have never had a long distance relationship before or been in the situation where we have to choose to be in one or not. things might change if we end up going to different schools. i think its one of those things that we have decided we would figure out if it comes down to it. both of us also know that if we do break up we will still be friends and that we will be able to see each other over breaks and stuff. its not like if we go to a different school that we will never see each other again.

oh and thank you for being honest and saying what you mean. its much appreciated.

deciding must be hard since you aren't sure what you want. what you can do is say like ok i will go to this school and say one of them and just sit on it for awhile. your mind might bring things up like, i really don't like the location or you know it;s just not for me. or you could be like i can't believe i'm going here i'm so excited. you get what i'm saying?

now off to read crime and punishment..funny the title says exactly what it is like reading it. a crime and a punishment hahaha

ya it is hard if you haven't seen them. but i would definantely want to see the schools first.

but ya just try to imagine yourself at each school and think of what you like and don't like.

not to be giving an annoying college questions but what do you want most in a school. becasue when i thought about schools i thought if i wanted the school for the classes or the location and stuff. and location was one of the strongest influences on me

ya, and i will have seen all of them in a few weeks.
yep thats what im going to be doing.
i guess what i want in a school is that i like being there and i can see myself going there. and that i feel like its the right school for me.
