[Now that Salieri's gotten his bearings a bit and talked to some people, he's decided it's time to arrange for his financial support in this town.  And so, he heads to the phones once again.]

I think what I'm talking about is a lot smaller. But...if you don't, I write lyrics to music and it would be nice to have professional help.

Well, I am familiar with writing music for instruments other than just the piano, so I suppose I could help with that as well. I'm actually hoping to eventually compose a new opera here in this town.

[There was a lot of relevant things in this phonecall to Cynric's interest. Music, teaching of music (why didn't HE think to do that!) and that you just introduced yourself as Antonio Salieri.

He starts off his call by laughing, and sounding positively delighted.]

Antonio Salieri! Are you serious? My, this town gets better and better every day!

"Why yes, the very same Salieri."

[He sounds rather proud of this.]

"I take it you have heard of my work, then?"

Excellent! Would you care to schedule a time to demonstrate your skill level for me so we can determine the sorts of lessons you will require?

"Princess Elizabeth Tudor..."

[There is genuine surprise in his voice, but he covers it almost immediately, remembering that people can arrive here from different times.]

"It would be an honor to serve you in such a capacity. I shall contact you as soon as I am able to arrange regular and private access to a piano."

Of course. I'm afraid lessons proper will have to wait until I have secured the use of a piano here in town, but I intend to arrange that as soon as I can.
