Rethinking my music choice the other day... "O Fortuna" probably would have been more appropriate for that medieval St. George combat, but I was in the mood for a more intimate, mob-hit kind of tone. Young, innocent Maimer peers through the stair railing at my slow-motion struggle in the coils of the gray accordeon hose, à la Laocoon, to the ( Read more... )

I never knew that once upon a time you were a geology major! And from there to French Literature? What a trip!

I'm sorry it was the math and chemistry (and crystallography, which I can't say I've ever experienced) that kept you from pursuing your geologist dreams. It's disheartening how that nit picky stuff can get in the way of reaching for what you wanted.

But hey, at least you got the French! (Though I can't say all I envy all the literature you had to plug through. I think I'll stick with my incomprehensible math and science in this case.)

Glad that you're blogging addicted! It gives us something all to read while we miss you at work. (Live up the vacation! Do something fun and spontaneous for yourself!)

Poor Sphinxy, on vacation with a teething baby in the house! (I understand, my niece is teething, too).

I too, had no idea that you were a geology major! Kick ass! It's the only science that kind of makes sense to me. Well, we wouldn't have you any other way than your kangar** kicking, French medievalist self! Besides, what if you were a famous geologist off somewhere in South America? We would never have had Remy or Gyva! *gasps in horror* That's too terrible to even try and comprehend! *hugs the Sphinx* I'm just glad you took that path you did. Huzzah!
