Here is a poem that I wanted to post on Valentine's Day but was too lazy to! I read it for Olga's class! I think this poet is great! Yay!



Love

You, flesh of my flesh, morning, noon, night, all my hours and seasons together

You, blood of my blood, all my fountains, the sea and my flowing tears

You, the pillars of my house, my bones, tree of my life, mast of my sails and the whole voyage at the very depths of me

You, nerve of nerves, my most beautiful bouquets of joy, all colors exploded

You, breath of my breath, winds and storms, the great air of this earth lifts me like a linen city

You, heart of my eyes, the largest gaze, the richest harvest of cities and space hauled back from the edge of the horizon

You, the taste of the world; you, the perfume of wet paths, seas and skies fused on the sand

You, body of my body, my earth, all my forests, the universe toppling mad in my arms

You, the vine and the fruit; you, the wine and the water; you, the bread and the table, communion and knowledge at the gates of death

You, my life, my life freeing itself, run away on the line of dawn with a fleeting step; you, the instant and my untied arms

You, the recaptured mystery; you, my soft, strange face, and the heart that laments in my veins like a wound.
