in which Vienna Teng trumps Tori Amos in a major way

So for the first time I have a completely different opinion from all those that I've read on Tori Amos' new album, Abnormally Attracted to Sin. I think it's the worst Tori album I've ever heard. I think American Doll Posse was way better than this, and contrary to popular opinion, I think The Beekeeper was WAY better than this.

I actually have only heard a couple of the new Tori songs, and I wasn't impressed. In fact, for the last eight years or so, I've been quite disappointed with her albums. I've almost just given up on her new stuff. Her phony/fake/plastic image and non-passionate live performances in these years have also left me very disappointed.

I will always love pre-2001 Tori though.

I'm sure I'll hear AAS eventually, but I've been more excited about other female artists like Imogen Heap and Butterfly Boucher.

Yeah, a lot of people haven't been feeling her much at all since TBK era. But I still loved TBK and ADP, I found things that I really connected to on those albums! And I still loved her live show - the Boston show I went to in 2007 or 2008 was one of my favorites. Perhaps I'm just starting to pull away a bit later, though - I think I have to miss the tour this time around, which would normally upset me, but with this album out, I sort of don't mind.

PS. thanks for the heads-up :) but it's been that way for months. I moved around my photobucket stuff to make it more organized while I was abroad, and that messed up my header. I'll fix it when I get back to America in a week, but for the meantime it's made life easier - i can check LJ in internet cafés and stuff without advertising to the world with a big schmoopy Amélie graphic.
