Holy crap. I'm glad it turned out okay, but damn... Do you know if the the father's rights were terminated after all this?

That's excellent work on your part! Kudos all around for pulling it off. I'd like the ending to be a bit happier, with ex-hubby out of the kids' lives entirely, preferably with his vas deferens snipped for good measure.
