Actually, I'm already a member of Following Sea, I just... am not very good at talking to people. But if I do ever finish this fic, I'll be sure to post it there.

I don't see Horatio as ace, just clueless. If he really didn't experience attraction he wouldn't have gotten flustered when Kitty Cobham was hiking up her skirts to conceal the dispatches in her petticoats. And in my headcanon, he'd just kinda never considered the possibility of a sexual relationship with another man until Archie spoke up, but it took him about three kisses to get to the point where he was wondering why he hadn't thought of this in the first place.
But, you know, Horatio/Archie is my OTP, so I'm not going to interpret the evidence in ways that might disturb that. We're ALL attached to our headcanons!

Archie/Horatio is my OTP too (because god damn, they were about two inches of air from being canon in The Duchess and the Devil and nothing anyone says will convince me otherwise), but I prefer to look at it as them both being passionately devoted to each other, and Horatio thinking that as this sex business is an enjoyable enough activity and Archie's so keen on it, why not? (Well, apart from the tiresome matter of it being illegal, that is.)
