Oh, I know, it didn't occur to me when I was watching because I was too busy laughing at the rest of the line, only later. And probably I wouldn't care if I didn't know Moffat has a tendency to say... unfortunate things in interviews.
I love the idea of a whole police force equipped with time-travelling police boxes! And oh, their relationships are so messed up... *hugs*
Maybe the sickness is something to do with being a time-traveller? Or with Amy and River being used to seeing really weird things, so it's not as easy to make their minds gloss over what they've seen, and hence they feel ill?
I adore River Song, always have even since the library episodes, and for a while I hated myself for it simply because the literary-minded portion of my brain told me she was probably the biggest Mary Sue since TNG's Wesley Crusher - but I LOVE HER SO TO HECK WITH IT. *\o/*
So excited about the series; it'll be the first one where I have to wait on the new episodes, since the others were already available on video and rerun when I became a Nine fan.
Also, huggy!Doctor is so made of win. XD And he still didn't get his fez, I'm waiting on the fez...
Heh, I have a fairly high tolerance for Mary Sues (comes of being brought up on myths and legends, I reckon, where everyone is ~the best swordsman, the most pure and noble being in the land~), but I get overly impatient with mysteries if I feel like they're never going to be explained. But now they are explaining and I can appreciate her awesome without that vague feeling of 'stop being so damn mysterious already!' (Well. Mostly.) I kind of want her to be a Time Lord (Lady?) from way in the Doctor's future, which would completely justify any Sue-ish tendencies because the Time Lords are pretty much a species of Mary Sues. And I love them for it.
I am so flaily over it, seriously. And I hear you on waiting for the new episodes - I've been watching a lot of the old seasons on the internet where it's pretty much *end credits* *titles* and I've got too used to it.
I loved the fact that 1100-year old Doctor had a diary too! So cute!
I think that the Doctor was being consciously annoying when giving them those cover names. None of them are particularly nice. I wouldn't think that the Doctor only sees her in term of her attractiveness.
As for the pregnancy thing... She drank wine during the picnic. Would Rory the Nurse really let her drink wine if she was pregnant? Well, I guess he might not know, but... It makes me wonder if it's as simple as it seems. Also, why is River feeling sick too? Have they all been impregnated by aliens? Who knows~? (Eum, perhaps not very likely.) But yeah, I think Moffat has a plan.
Is it just me or were they matching diaries? (I want a diary like that. Surely the BBC have exploited this prime merchandising opportunity? Hmm...)
Probably. :) I don't know that I mind it in the show itself, just taken together with some of Moffat's comments in interviews (which I now avoid, frankly, because the show is too good for me to get worked up over what he says behind-the-scenes).
Well if the aliens already mess with people's minds, it's not impossible it's all in her head. (Maybe she knew there was something important to tell the Doctor, wasn't allowed to remember what, and this was what they planted instead?)
Have they all been impregnated by aliens? You know, I think I've probably read that fic at some point...
I'm sure he does. Like last time, when everyone was making that fuss over 'oh no, continuity messed up, the Doctor shouldn't have been wearing his jacket in that scene!' and it was all part of the Cunning Plan. After that, I have complete faith that everything will work out brilliantly.
I think the Doctor had a black diary, but I don't know, only hving seen one. I don't know if they have made a River Song diary, actually - I once saw a picture of someone who had made one herself. Quite cool.
I hope, btw, that they think of making the diary newer and newer. I just realised that it looks rather old in the Silence in the Library, and considering she must have had it for decades... There is something strangely intriguing in the thought of River Song as a teenage girl suddenly meeting the Doctor. It's so different from how one usually imagines her, but also gives so much more depth...

Oh my god, me neither. :D

I think I need a River Song icon.
As for continuity - continuity? What continuity?
